About The 3D Forge
Built by a Modeller. For Modellers.
The 3D Forge exists because the right tool didn't.
Like most modellers, I spent years making do — improvised jigs, repurposed household items, and a workbench that never quite had a place for everything. Good tools existed for painters and general hobbyists, but precision aids designed specifically for scale modelling? Almost nowhere to be found.
So I designed my own.
Where It Started
The first tools were made purely for personal use — a better berth system here, a smarter storage solution there. When I started sharing them on Facebook, the response was immediate. Other modellers had the same frustrations. They wanted tools built around the actual demands of the hobby: tight tolerances, clean finishes, and designs that understood how a modelling bench actually works.
That community response is what became The 3D Forge.
The Design Process
Every product starts at the workbench, not a design brief. I build what I need, refine it through use, and only release it when it genuinely solves the problem better than anything else I've tried. The 3D printing process lets us iterate fast and maintain precision that injection moulding rarely achieves at this scale.
Our tools are designed with:
- Tight tolerances — because a wobbly jig defeats the point
- Modular thinking — components that work together across the range
- Workshop-first aesthetics — functional, durable, and built to last on a busy bench
What We Make
The 3D Forge range covers the essentials of a well-organised modelling workspace:
- Jig & Berth Systems — precise holding and alignment aids for assembly and painting
- Modular Storage — stackable bins and organisers designed around hobby supplies
- Desk & Workshop Aids — the small tools that make a big difference to workflow
The range is designed to grow together. Buy one piece and it works. Buy more and it works better.
Made in the UK. Shipped Worldwide.
Every tool is produced in the UK and shipped to modellers across Europe, North America, and beyond. When you order from The 3D Forge, you're buying directly from the person who designed it — no middlemen, no mass manufacturing, no compromise on quality.
Tools designed by a modeller for modellers. That's not a tagline. It's the only way we know how to do it.
